The Susy Utzinger animal welfare foundation

The Susy Utzinger animal welfare foundation uses effective means to help sustainably reduce and even prevent animal suffering in Switzerland and many other countries. The foundation looks after animals that have been abandoned or kept in inappropriate conditions by people who did not know any better. Too many animals are condemned to a tragic fate in overcrowded animal shelters or have to fight for their survival in colonies that have gone feral. Its animal welfare work is based on four pillars and the basic of SUST-emergency aid:

4. Raising public awareness
